The Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushal Yojana has supplied employment to 3,021 youth and coaching to 5,320 in varied sectors within the state. According to a authorities press launch, a goal to present coaching to 22,000 youth till the end of 2023 has been mounted.
The scheme is a placement-linked ability coaching programme, which goals to remodel poor rural youth into economically unbiased and globally related workforce. The beneficiaries of the scheme have obtained employment within the state and in neighbouring states as nicely.
As per the discharge, the scheme has confirmed to be an efficient rural growth initiative for poor, rural youth. Such youth within the 15-35 age group, specifically abled folks, ladies and people from weaker sections, up to the age of 45 years, are coated beneath the scheme. The programme has an outcome-led design with assured placements for no less than 70 per cent skilled candidates.
“Under the scheme, free coaching is being supplied together with hostel facility. A coaching of three to 12 months is being supplied in varied programs beneath the scheme. Post-placement coaching of one 12 months can also be supplied to the beneficiaries of the scheme,” the discharge stated.
Presently, a one-year coaching is supplied in fields associated to attire, hospitality, inexperienced jobs, magnificence and spa, stitching, baking, storage, unarmed safety, electricals, gross sales, accounting, banking gross sales and laptop {hardware} beneath the scheme.
