McGuire was stationed in Alaska from December 1948-June 1949; in Roswell, New Mexico from October 1949-September 1952; at McGuire Air Force Base, south of Trenton, New Jersey, from January 1958-July 1964; then lastly at Randolph Air Force Base in Universal City, Texas from July 1964-August 1967. As a chief warrant officer for the Army, McGuire was stationed in Washington, DC from August 1967-April 1969; then in Vietnam from April 1969-April 1970.From April 1971-January 1986, McGuire served within the Army as civil service. From April 1971-August 1977, McGuire served as pc techniques commander at Fort Belvoir, Virginia; then from Aug. 1977-Jan. 1986 on the Pentagon, Washington, DC.
