“Spring Breakers” and “The Beach Bum” director Harmony Korine has used an analogy that includes each Steven Spielberg and “Call of Duty” that has left the “Jaws” filmmaker on the shedding aspect.
Out selling his new inventive collective/design studio EDGLRD, Korine spoke with GQ (through EW) and says current advances in gaming expertise implies that videogames now look higher than films visually.
Korine not too long ago used gaming tech to make his new indie movie “AGGRO DR1FT” starring rapper Travis Scott and shot fully in infrared and thermal imaging. Also earlier this week, a brand new trailer for the sport marketing campaign from “Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare III” was launched and featured some astonishing graphics.
In the interview with the outlet, the cult filmmaker says: “It’s nearly gone 360. You may take a look at the Call of Duty trailer now, and it seems higher than something that Spielberg’s ever accomplished.”
