Sony has introduced the finalists of the eighth annual Sony Alpha Awards, open to photographers in Australia and New Zealand, and pictures captured on Sony Alpha cameras and lenses.

According to Sony, over 3,700 photos have been submitted throughout 10 classes.
The Grand Prize winner might be chosen from among the many whole pool of finalists who will compete for $50,000 price of Sony digital camera gear, together with $4,000 of Sony digital imaging gear per class.
Each of the class finalists can even be in with an opportunity to win the general Grand Prize of Sony digital imaging gear to the worth of $10,000.
