Nagpur, India- Dattu Hiraman Mankar (35), a pc {hardware} vendor residing in Sharda Nagar, Date Layout, Jaitala, fell sufferer to a rip-off involving Rs 18.06 lakh purportedly in share buying and selling. According to police reviews, Mankar was contacted on May 20 by fraudsters claiming from a cell quantity (44741851863). They enticed him with guarantees of excessive returns via their cell buying and selling app.
Believing the rip-off, Mankar began investing, initially seeing income. Over time, he invested Rs 18,06,300 at completely different intervals. However, when he tried to withdraw funds, he realized he could not entry both his principal or income. Upon realizing the deception, Mankar promptly reported the incident to the police.
The MIDC police registered a case underneath varied sections of the IPC and IT Act upon receiving Mankar’s grievance. The investigation into the fraudulent actions is ongoing to apprehend these chargeable for the cyber theft.
